Your Role and Impact

98point6 is looking for a Director who can successfully lead strategic relationships as part of our commercial team. As an individual contributor, you will collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and cross-functional leadership to develop and reflect the company’s vision for growth and expansion with these crucial clients.

In this role, you will oversee and manage all sales and account management activities for our strategic clients, while anticipating market trends and providing guidance to internal stakeholders on the overall pulse of the relationships. In time, you will serve as the liaison between 98point6 and our strategic clients, and will be given full ownership to drive impact and execute strategy across the 98point6 organization.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a hands-on account manager and solutions sales consultant who engages executive- level relationships, actively collaborating with our strategic partners and their customers to close opportunities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to our customers in their markets, providing proactive attention to continuously ensure they are deriving maximum value from our partnership
  • Provide problem-solving and analytical skills by taking an analytical, data-driven approach to draw out business insight where information is incomplete
  • Act as the essential business partner to develop and execute strategy, in collaboration and coordination with all levels of management [Engineering, Product, Marketing, Operations, Legal and Regulatory Affairs and Health Care Services] and externally strengthen partnerships to maximize mutual benefit
  • Develop strategies and business plans with partners and execute against scalable and relevant metrics and milestones to drive member growth and revenue
  • Lead high-visibility presentations on renewal and program proposals
  • Serve as a SME for strategic partners, educating clients, brokers and consultants regarding our offering
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in employee benefits sales, services and consulting with at least 5 years working with large, complex, multi-state customers
  • 5+ years of experience in partner management, business development, product management or management consulting, driving user and revenue growth via partnerships.
  • Strong customer advocacy and consultative skills, as well as the ability to understand the customer’s culture, perspective and needs
  • Deep understanding of healthcare industry required, with a desire to continually develop and maintain subject matter expertise and knowledge around products, services and trends in healthcare industry and benefit solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of the enterprise sales cycle; how SaaS products are positioned, sold, accepted and integrated, coupled with serving as a continuous conduit to the operations, product and marketing teams to convey customer and prospect feedback that helps rapidly improve the company’s products and offerings
  • Exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication skills, as well as proven success working effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving and strategic ability, as well as the ability to recognize and overcome internal and external barriers within an organization
  • Strong ownership and bias for action; ability to internalize goals and work independently and collaboratively to create appropriate action plans
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%)
