We are building a world class demand generation engine and Sales Development is a key component of our enterprise focused strategy. In order to support our growing sales team we are looking for a talented, data and process focused Manager of Global Sales Development to build out and grow our Sales Development function. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and disruptive environment. This role reports to the Global Vice President of Sales, partners closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and is located in our Seattle, WA HQ

This position requires constant and tight collaboration with Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, Marketing and other key functions in the organization. In this role, you will directly impact sales results and exponential growth by building and scaling a results-driven team and processes to support pipeline generation. We see Sales Development as a critical enabler of our GTM Strategy and want to ensure this team plays a critical step in the Sales career of top performers.

What will you do?

  • Manage the Global Sales Development organization to exceed daily, weekly and quarterly goals, objectives, SLA’s and quota
  • Execute inbound demand generation follow up, outbound tele-prospecting and upsell/cross sell sales transaction support
  • Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and coach SDRs and outside tele-prospecting agencies for lead generation
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to continuously improve the volume and quality of Sales Ready leads qualified by the sales team
  • Build a world class playbook for effective prospecting and inbound leads management
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing Operations to establish scalable processes to manage and drive world class pipeline conversions
  • Build an effective analytics framework to identify trends and drive improvements
  • Help create a high energy culture where people thrive for achieving goals, learning and developing their career
  • Compile daily/weekly/monthly team reports; modify as needed
  • Proactively work to improve the cadence and throughput of the assigned sales development resources as we grow Chef’s marketplace presence and success story
  • Conduct weekly forecasts

Is this you?

  • 3+ years of management experience in Sales, Sales Development or Inside Sales management, preferably in high technology-based products and/or services company
  • Experience growing and scaling a successful sales development team in a fast growth environment
  • The ideal candidate would have started his/her career in Sales Development
  • Proven track record at establishing and achieving or exceeding measurable goals in a highly automated Sales Development environment
  • Experience with start-up environments and highly-transactional enterprise sales models such as Chef’s
  • Excellent working knowledge of inbound & outbound teleprospecting methodologies in high technology based products and/or services
  • Comfort with both technical and business discussions
  • A passion for coaching and developing others
  • Previous people management experience
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and with multiple departments including sales, marketing, and customer success
  • Excellent written, oral communication and leadership skills including ability to create and deliver effective presentations.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and lead qualification and prospecting -related applications
  • Must be a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative high-growth environment
  • Ability to work on-site at our office in Seattle, WA
