As a Partner Solutions Architect for AWS you will work with the AWS technical field, your teammates, customers and product teams to lead the adoption of the Databricks Lakehouse Platform on the AWS platform. You will broaden familiarity with the Databricks product and its fit with the AWS architecture by being a technical ambassador towards the AWS Solution Architect community and by building 'technical champions' through enablement.

Working with the AWS field teams, you will help our customers to achieve tangible data-driven outcomes, helping data teams complete projects and integrate our platform into their enterprise Ecosystem and AWS deployment. As a member of our team, you will exercise and develop expertise in those areas, using open-source projects such as Apache Spark, MLflow, and Delta Lake; and AWS infrastructure and services. You will use this expertise to become a trusted advisor to our AWS partners and our joint customers. You will report to the Director of Partner Solutions Architects for AMER.

The impact you will have:

  • Partner with AWS field teams to help them stay skilled on Databricks, understand where Databricks fits in the AWS architecture and how Databricks can help solve their customer's technical and business problems
  • Show expertise by producing creative references architectures, blog posts, and demo applications for AWS, other Databricks SAs, and customers that will help accelerate the use of Databricks on AWS
  • Lead go to market events such as AWS Devdays and Summits and customer workshops, hackathons, and webinars
  • Provide technical leadership for AWS and customers to understand, evaluate, and ultimately adopt Databricks.

What we look for:

  • Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients or partners across a variety of industry markets
  • Understanding of customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role with a core strength in either data engineering or data science
  • Experience demonstrating technical concepts, including presenting and whiteboarding
  • Experience of the AWS Cloud platform core foundational native services and expertise in the Data & AI first party services
  • Coding experience in SQL, Python, Scala, or Java
  • Experience with Big Data technologies, including Spark, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra, and others
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience through work experience
