Sales Director

As a Sales Director you will act as an individual contributor within a strategic growth area of OpenMarket’s US Sales organization. In this role you will report directly to OpenMarket's Head of Sales and you will be responsible for driving commercial growth within the US enterprise market by way of new customer acquisition and expansion of existing customer implementations.

As a leader in the Sales organization you will actively drive pipeline growth by targeted outbound sales activity and principled sales execution and you will lead all aspects of the sales process, from prospecting to deal closure. This position will work closely with OpenMarket Product, Marketing, Development, and Finance organizations to ensure profitable growth and trust-based customer engagements. 

What you'll be doing

  • Identifying and closing profitable business with major enterprise accounts in the Fortune 2000 domain
  • Identifying key market targets and specific needs pertaining to each market target
  • Developing and understanding customers’ businesses, including their main opportunities and challenges
  • Developing and executing sales strategies and account plans for key targets
  • Driving new sales and revenue generating opportunities to grow OpenMarket sales and market share
  • Preparing proposals and author key RFP responses
  • Preparing and delivering OpenMarket presentations
  • Negotiating contractual business agreements as required
  • Employing consultative and return on investment solution selling methodology
  • Maintaining and growing existing customer relationships
  • Networking within a community of target prospects and customers
  • Identifying and attending relevant events and conferences
  • Collaborating with product development in launching new products or growing the penetration of existing products within current and new accounts
  • Setting and managing customer expectations based on current solution set and future roadmap
  • Act to unblock and resolve critical customer issues
  • Use CRM tools, build weekly pipeline reports and attend all regularly scheduled sales meetings and trainings

What to bring

  • 5+ years of technology (emphasis on mobile and Application-to-Person Messaging) strategic sales experience with a focus on major enterprises in the Fortune 2000 domain 
  • Experience in selling SaaS and/or CPaaS
  • Outside sales experience
  • Established and credible contacts/relationships in major enterprises
  • Ability to demonstrate successful track record in planning, selling, and closing complex and competitive sales opportunities with multiple partners
  • Track record of repeated success exceeding multi-million dollar annual quotas
  • Superior analytical and calculated planning skills
  • Proven ability to implement strategic initiatives with efficiency, integrity and with demonstrated trouble shooting/problem solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to establish strong and effective relationships with executive level decision makers
  • Exceptional ability to manage and grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships
  • Comfortable working in virtual teams and collaborating internationally

Our company is in the Lower Queen Anne area with a beautiful view of Elliott Bay. The office is a short distance to a variety of restaurants/shops.
