Sales Enablement Program Manager

The Role
Outreach is the one of the fastest growing technology companies in the country. In order to sustain that proverbial hockey stick growth, we must continue to set up our internal teams for excellence. The Sales Enablement Program Manager is responsible for equipping our various sales teams with the knowledge and resources they need to be efficient and effective. This role drives the content and productivity systems for our sales and customer success teams. Given that these teams are growing dramatically every year, you’ll have a huge impact on our ability to deliver value to our prospects and customers. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Field Readiness. 

Your Daily Adventures Will Include

  • Core Knowledge & Skills:
  • Onboarding. Ensuring new reps deliver value as quickly as possible. Examples: Refining and managing role-specific onboarding curricula
  • Skill Training & Coaching. Enabling reps to consistently articulate our value to customers. Examples: Reinforcing our sales methodology and supporting a manager-led coaching program, as well as driving programmatic efforts to improve our story-telling capabilities
  • Product Readiness. Equip reps to understand and position the value and capabilities of new product releases and how they connect to the buyer journey. Examples: Collaborating with the Go-to-Market team to create online and offline training and enablement content
  • Competitive Readiness. Work with Product Marketing to enable reps to consistently articulate our differentiators against top competitors. Examples: Refining battle cards and other competitive job aids
  • Tools:
  • Tool Training & Support. Getting the most possible ROI out of our rep-facing tool stack, by managing the adoption and optimal usage of enablement and productivity tools. Examples: learning management system, sales asset management, call analytics platform, sales intelligence platforms.
  • Outreach Excellence. Ensure reps are demonstrating excellence with how they actually use Outreach. Examples: Creating and managing Outreach content for Outreach reps, and promoting/monitoring internal best practices for various roles
  • Process & Operations:
  • Internal Communications. Provide timely and easy access to all information reps need to do their jobs. Examples: Managing internal intranet and creating weekly updates on new content/processes/priorities
  • Sales Motion. Ensure that sales teams have the content and tools to support conversations throughout the sales process. Examples: Drive the rollout of a refined sales stage process and the related forecasting approach
  • Continuous Improvement:. Promote a culture of data-driven continuous improvement and recognition. Examples: Monitor readiness and sales production data to recognize top performers and to identify learning/performance gaps (and align with sales leadership to address those gaps)

Basic Qualifications

  • You’ve worked for SaaS companies for at least two years
  • You’re a member of the Sales Enablement Society (or are willing to join)
  • You can articulate an opinion on Mindtickle vs Learncore vs Brainshark vs Saleshood
  • You are able to balance sharp focus on measurable outcomes with deep and genuine empathy for people, customers, and the business
  • You’re a keyboard shortcut kind of person
  • You’re familiar with the ADKAR model (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, Reinforcement)
  • You have exceptional communication skills and the ability to connect dots and work across internal teams
  • You are results-oriented and able to accomplish both your own project and related team goals
  • You’re a data geek who enjoys analyzing outcomes, and puts data and insights at the center of decision-making
  • You’re comfortable in rapidly changing environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • You’ve done this before (managed systems/tools or learning/content for sales teams)
  • You’ve used Outreach
  • You’ve spent some time thinking about constructivism, chunking, ADDIE, and flipped classrooms -- and these names mean something to you: Kirkpatrick, Gagne, Bloom
  • You have an opinion on SPIN vs Challenger vs Command of the Message
  • You’ve designed a battle card before
