Meisterplan is a self-funded startup, founded in Germany, with a US headquarters based in Bellevue, Washington. We are a fun, dynamic company who are also doubling our revenue year over year. We are looking for a critical person to help us accelerate that growth for our global online business. The key focus of the Sales Engineer is to partner with the sales team in identifying, engineering and proposing solutions to new prospects and existing customers. The successful candidate will be able to apply expertise from a Project Management or Project Portfolio Management background to identify customers’ business needs, create and recommend the appropriate solutions that address those needs, and clearly explain to various audiences how the proposed solutions and technologies work.

Responsibilities:

Critical Requirements

  1. Relevant expertise in Project Management, Process Management, Project Portfolio Management, or similar discipline
  2. Customer facing experience discussing technology and solutions involving SaaS solutions
  3. Technical aptitude to understand and engineer technical solutions
  4. Strong customer-facing communications and presentation skills
  5. Ability to successfully partner with internal and 3rd party (reseller partner) sales teams

Primary Job Functions

  • Gather information on client business objectives, operating needs, business processes and economic drivers
  • Perform business process and operational review and develop specific recommendations for client business improvement
  • Coordinate with the sales team to drive further penetration of Meisterplan products and services within assigned territory
  • Provide industry expertise in the development of Meisterplan products and services as well as the presentation of such offerings to clients
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve existing Meisterplan offerings to clients
  • Conduct periodic strategic reviews of client performance and provide advice and recommendations concerning these results
  • Coordinate custom proposals and responses to Request for Proposals
  • Facilitate presentation and demonstration of solutions to clients
  • Ability to present at internal and external conferences as an industry expert

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant Process/Project Management, PPM, or similar industry experience  
  • 7+ years of relevant SaaS sales, consulting, or support experience  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills  
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills  
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills  
  • Ability to develop presentations and other client facing materials  
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated sales team 
  • Ability to work with ambiguity at times 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience  
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time, including occasional international travel
