Job Description

What We Do: In Sales Operations at Payscale, it is our mission to propel the business forward by helping our Sales teams to sell better, faster, and more efficiently. We bring the Selling system to life through strategic planning, data & analysis, process formalization, our go-to-market framework, systems and tools.

What You Do: We are seeking a Salesforce Administrator to join our Sales Operations organization in a critical role focused on using the Salesforce platform to support our growing Sales Team and meet company goals. This role is key to driving automation and scale in our business processes and ensuring the support of our users!

Day-in-the-Life: As a Salesforce Administrator, a typical day may include the following…

  • Be responsible for the development, optimization, and operations of our Salesforce platform with associated Sales apps.
  • Apply domain expertise and industry best practices to solve business and technical problems and automate manual processes.
  • Provide technical consultancy on platform configuration, custom development, and maintenance.
  • Manage troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and solution generation.
  • Work closely with the Sales teams to implement and configure business rules that utilize customer data to drive actions for proactive engagement with prospects
  • Document processes and configuration using Confluence and other tools.

First Year in Role:

  • Month 3: You will have developed a solid understanding of our Sales Tech stack, sales process, and built key relationships to set yourself up well for the future. This, while assisting on both inbound requests and quick wins to have an immediate impact on the business.
  • Month 6: You will be working on 2-3 high-impact projects in close partnership with our other System Analyst & our external consulting partner. While continuing to ensure inbound requests are fulfilled.
  • Month 12: You will be develop and lead a portfolio of next-level projects designed to help us scale and fuel growth!

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • 3+ years Salesforce administration experience
  • Salesforce Administrator & Advanced Administrator Certification
  • Experience using process builder, workflows, and approval process solutions
  • Administration experience with other 3rd party applications and integrations – preferably with LinkedIn Nav, Outreach, Conga, DocuSign, Chili Piper, Tableau, DiscoverOrg/ZoomInfo, Jira, Confluence, etc.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the desire to improve processes and actively drive opportunities to resolution without supervision.
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Project coordination and change management skills with a consistent track record of leading projects to successful completion.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic structure with a strong desire to grow along with the company.
  • Demonstrable ability to build effective partnerships with business owners and technical partners.

Tools:

  • Advanced experience with large datasets, data warehouses, and using data manipulation tools such as Dataloader and DemandTools
  • Advanced analytics skills using standard Salesforce reporting as well as data visualization tools like Tableau and Einstein Analytics
  • Basic Apex and Visualforce coding experience preferred
