Position Description: Salesforce Administrator

Reports to: Director of Business Systems

 

Position Summary

The Salesforce Administrator will oversee our Salesforce.com deployment.  The successful candidate will have a record of success in process improvement and adoption of Salesforce and other related platforms.  This role will work closely with functional leaders including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Business Systems and Finance to inform decisions, reveal trends, develop and deploy business process improvements. This role is comprised of technical project management, systems administration and analyst responsibilities in addition to day to day execution of our CRM platform in support of our customer-facing teams.

Technical Project Management – Oversight of systems and integrations that enable business operations such as marketing, sales, billing and customer insights. These systems integrate business processes and customer-facing team work. They are designed to deliver a central source of truth, enable analysis of business performance, campaign and process efficacy that inform decision making, both tactical and strategic. 

Customer-Facing Systems Administration – Salesforce is leveraged as a key tool by each customer-facing team. Administration therefore includes enabling system interfaces, establishing processes and influencing adoption to optimize data capture, tool utilization and access to insights. System(s) application, maintenance and utilization to its fullest potential is a central deliverable. This role also supports documentation of monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets, leveraging multiple sources to help inform including historical achievement, forecasts, budgets and marketplace insights. 

Analysis – Enabling robust and on-demand analysis of lead quality, funnel conversion, sales performance, on boarding efficacy and customer activity are key deliverables of this role. These contributions are performed in close collaboration with Directors of Marketing and Customer Success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary administrator of the Salesforce.com environment.
  • Deliver all account maintenance, report generation, dashboards and workflows.
  • Manage data feeds into and out of Salesforce to ensure effective system integrations.
  • Acts as the liaison between users, vendors and application development teams.
  • Trains new users and continuously invests to develop the Salesforce skillset across the company.
  • Ongoing aspiration to identify and effect tangible process improvements. 

Desired Experience and Qualifications

  • Salesforce.com Advanced Administrator and Developer certification
  • Salesforce.com instance configuration including Workflows, Dashboards, Process Builder, Public Groups, Profiles, Lighting Flow, Validation Rules and Profiles
  • Broad knowledge of Salesforce products and their application to benefit a team
  • Third party application integration experience
  • Data base query experience
  • Project management skills
  • SaaS company operations and product launch exposure

Our office is located in Eastlake (in Seattle) with multiple restaurants + bars. We overlook Lake Union and have great views of the Space Needle!
