The Business Intelligence team, that powers PitchBook's enterprise use of data and business system, blends strategic development with operational rigor to achieve optimal results across all business functions. As PitchBook continues to grow and expand so do the needs of the BI practices that drive strategy and operations. We're currently hiring for the role of Junior Salesforce Administrator on our CRM practice area of BI. The successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and system adoption. This role will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify develop and deploy new business processes. The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to create impact in a highly visible role with exposure to all facets of the business and application of advanced analytics. Primary responsibilities include executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our CRM platform as we continue to push for greater levels of intelligence and scale in our systems and operations.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
  • Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations
  • Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization
  • Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors and the application development teams
  • Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements
  • Proactively seek out and identify needed system changes
  • Lightning optimization of current workflows within our existing environment
  • Facilitate and create ongoing Salesforce training programs for organization
  • Build and maintain Salesforce Dashboards with our sales organization
  • Build custom reports, dashboards, and workflows

Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of professional work experience managing salesforce environment 
  • Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes
  • The ability to learn Apex for troubleshooting/building simple triggers and SQL/SOQL
