DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides companies of all sizes with an infrastructure web services platform in the cloud (“Cloud Computing”). With AWS you can requisition compute power, storage, and many other services – gaining access to a suite of elastic IT infrastructure services as your business demands them. AWS is the leading platform for designing and developing applications for the cloud and is growing rapidly with hundreds of thousands of companies in over 190 countries on the platform.

AWS’ growth is driving a rapid expansion of its world-wide sales team and the need for a Salesforce Solution Architect to join the Business Technology and Solutions team. This is a great opportunity for a Salesforce Solution Architect to work as a team member along with Program Manager, Technical Engineers and supporting team members to deliver the complete solution for the customer.

The successful candidate must be able to work directly with stakeholders to design highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable Salesforce solutions and technologies. These technologies include--but are not necessarily limited to Salesforce.com products and APIs, Lightning, Skuid, Mobile Applications, Amazon Web Services, and integration/ETL technologies. A Solution Architect will be expected to maintain an ongoing comprehensive understanding of the cloud-computing ecosystem. They will be passionate about their work, self-motivated, detail oriented and have excellent problem solving abilities. They will deal with highly ambiguous problems, take responsibility for finding solutions, and will drive towards simple solutions to complex problems.

Key Responsibilities
· Become a highly certified and recognized Salesforce expert.
· As a Solutions Architect, you will work directly with Program Managers to accelerate projects and recommend best-practice architectures in line with long-term business outcomes.
· Create solutions, blueprints, and reference architectures that empower our Program Managers and maximize customer value through using the breadth of the Salesforce solutions available to align and package the right solutions with the right business problem.
· Work with Program Managers and Technical Architects to transform new requirements into Salesforce.com design and implementation.
· Ability to define the system landscape, to identify gaps between current and desired end-states
· Create application and technical design documents which leverage Salesforce best practices
· Evangelize and educate about Salesforce technology (e.g. workshops, user groups, meetups, or conferences).
· Troubleshoot key implementation issues and demonstrate ability to drive to successful resolution.
· Contribute to the growth of the AWS Salesforce organization by hiring, coaching and mentoring.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related experience
· 5+ years previous experience with Salesforce.com
· Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
· Expert understanding of Salesforce products, AppExchange partners, partner consulting capabilities, and solutions
· Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
· Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
· Motivated self-starter, able to change directions quickly when priorities shift and quickly think through problems to design and deliver solutions
· Passion for technology and for learning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
· Salesforce Certified Sales and/or Service Cloud
· Salesforce Certified Sharing and Visibility Designer
· Salesforce Lightning implementations/design experience
· Experience with SKUID
· Professional experience in a test-driven and formal QA development environment, including development/staging/production (or similar) deployment cycles
· Strong organization skills
