Peach is a rapidly growing, fast-paced, venture-backed lunch delivery business that started in June 2014 and serves thousands of customers every day in Seattle, Boston and San Diego (with many other cities coming soon). Peach has a unique and compelling business model where both the customer and the restaurant win; by capitalizing on the availability and talent of local restaurants, we bring locally produced, high quality meals to our customers. 

Our local sales teams are the engine that builds our customer and restaurant base. We need a Scheduler to execute the operations plan and schedule drivers and restaurants/menus for operations. You will be responsible for a key component of our operations: making sure the weekly plan is set and ensure Peach’s operations run smoothly. The desired individual will be detail oriented, unflappable, achievement-oriented, and proud of the quality of their work. He or she will have a can-do attitude and will do whatever it takes to get the job done right, regardless of obstacles. This work will be highly technical.

You will be a critical member of the Peach team and will play a key role in the success of the company. We’ve already established a great reputation amongst our customers and have proven that our model works in the cities we’ve launched, but there is still tremendous opportunity to make our system even better. This position will report to our COO.

You will be expected to ensure that cost drivers are kept under control to make each city profitable and that operational activities function effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures scheduling is completed on time with all scheduling constraints considered.
  • Coordinate with restaurant, driver, and marketing teams to ensure all locations are properly configured.
  • Audits the routes; also audits for route profitability.
  • Review each market each morning.
  • Review scheduling reports daily and propose solutions.
  • Recommends methods for increasing route efficiency.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by ensuring operations can meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Works with operations and others to ensure the schedule is met daily as well as weekly.
  • Ensures Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
  • Communicates capacity via weekly reports and ad hoc requests and ensures work is loaded according to capacity availability.
  • Refers to planning strategies, business models, and how planning affects supply chain when planning.
  • Focuses on on-time delivery of meals and ensuring work within his or her control is optimized.
  • Creates a level-loaded schedule based on customer needs and capacity availability.
  • Understands operations planning and the effects it has on the operations, customers, and the rest of our business.
  • Builds and executes a long term plan using data
  • Finds and executes process improvements his or her job and beyond
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally as a team.
  • Superb communication skills both in oral and written communications.
  • Strong inner drive, self-motivation and goal-orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools – Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as above average tech skills.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research.
  • Prior experience scheduling.
  • Experience with GIS or maps.
