Description
The Senior Accountant will take ownership of the delivery of accurate and timely financial statements. This role performs a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and variance analysis.

Your Role
- Own the Accounts Receivable cycle which includes project set-up, contract changes, invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
- Record and analyze the company's financial information
- Perform monthly, quarterly and year end close
- Process deposits and wire & ACH activity
- Support budget and forecasting cash flow activities
- Collaborate with finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
- Respond to inquiries from the VP of Finance, Controller, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests
- Work with Controller on year-end financial and compliance audits, tax return engagements, and special projects as needed
- Document policies and procedures and make process recommendations
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Three or more years of relevant experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong client service skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Ability to work autonomously
- CPA preferred
