Description

The Senior Accountant will take ownership of the delivery of accurate and timely financial statements. This role performs a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and variance analysis.

We're looking for someone with a love for numbers, stellar time-management skills, and a knack for delivering outstanding customer service. Your Role

  • Own the Accounts Receivable cycle which includes project set-up, contract changes, invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
  • Record and analyze the company's financial information
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Process deposits and wire & ACH activity
  • Support budget and forecasting cash flow activities
  • Collaborate with finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
  • Respond to inquiries from the VP of Finance, Controller, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests
  • Work with Controller on year-end financial and compliance audits, tax return engagements, and special projects as needed
  • Document policies and procedures and make process recommendations
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Three or more years of relevant experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong client service skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • CPA preferred
