Your role and impact

98point6 is expanding rapidly and we are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant who will be the first point of contact for accounting issues and execute core ongoing accounting, reporting and planning activities. This individual will also play a key role in the pending implementation of a new accounting/ERP system and the ongoing development of more efficient and effective financial processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Accounting system management
• Development and management of financial controls, accounting policies and processes
• Monthly close and posting of journal entries
• Compilation and analysis of reporting packages; communication to management
• Forecasting, planning and budgeting
• Payroll preparation
• Tax filings and other compliance activities
• Supporting HR and analysis team activities
• Staying abreast of changes in accounting regulations and tax policy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline
• Accounting designation or equivalent experience and education
• Experience with mid-market or enterprise level ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, MS Dynamics, Intacct, SAP, Oracle, Workday)
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience in an accounting or financial management role at a fast-paced for profit company
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• CPA or Masters in Accounting a plus
