Job Description
What you get to do in this role:
As Pre-Sales Solution Architect in our Alliances team, you will work in support of our strategic relationship with Microsoft primarily focused within the North American market with additional responsibilities for the wider Microsoft Partner Market. In this role you will provide pre-sales support, technical product and architecture advice, on-going communication of the latest ServiceNow/Microsoft solutions in a co-sell motion alongside our ServiceNow sales teams. This role will help the execution of the recently announced Microsoft-ServiceNow strategic partnership.
Here below some of the tasks:
- Partner on joint sales pursuits with ServiceNow account sales teams and Microsoft Sales teams in targeted accounts to drive interlock through Joint Pursuit Planning (JPP)-POD, resulting in “Sourced” NNACV.
- Demonstrations of ServiceNow/Microsoft solutions based upon business initiatives or required outcomes focused upon the value the solution delivers
- Supporting Proof of Concept/Proof of Value engagements within the co-sell framework
- Staying current on product developments/releases
- Forging trusted advisor relationships at the top levels at the Partner account
- Providing thought leadership and collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure customer success is achieved
- Participate in and deliver Business Reviews with aligned account teams
- Engaging with the Partner and cross functional teams post sales to ensure successful transition from sales to delivery
- Provide mentoring and training to peers and other colleagues within our organization
- Identifying, leading and contributing to the creation of best practices, white papers, workshops, technology days, “lunch and learns” etc.
- Provide oversight on, and ensure successful completion of Partner initiatives and any necessary RFx assistance
To be successful in this role you have:
- Extensive Solution Consulting experience
- Strong understanding of Microsoft’s vision, product suites (especially Azure and their cloud strategy) and Microsoft sales model.
- Working knowledge of modern web technologies and cloud computing
- Understanding of the architectural principles for cloud-based platforms that include SaaS, PaaS and automation
- Passion and curiosity about researching current and emerging technologies and developing innovative solutions
- Strong facilitation skills, to encourage clear articulation of the business issues and effective solution design by the relevant players
- Executive presence, strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to manage change and ambiguity with an action-orientation/drive – must thrive in a dynamic environment
- Ability to collaborate and interact at multiple levels and different stakeholders such as Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Offering Managers, Directors, VP’s, and CXO’s
Any of the following will help you stand out:
- Preferable degree in Commerce, Computer Science, Engineering etc.
- Multi-year track record of proactively & successfully co-selling and co-delivering with MSFT with established MSFT global & regional sales, technical & services executive relationship, as well as senior sales, technical & services relationships in the field.
- Pre-Sales experience with architecting Microsoft Azure, Office 365 or Microsoft Teams
- Experience with the ServiceNow product suite or competitive product suites highly desirable
- A current ServiceNow certification (e.g. Certified System Administrator and/or Certified Implementation Specialist)
- ServiceNow platform development experience
