About you:

You are eager to build, lead and manage a team of senior sales managers who are responsible for growth of existing accounts at Convoy. You will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction across a broad range of factors including operations, product and price while cross-selling and up-selling to build repeatable revenue channels. You will create a culture of customer excellence by building and training a team to best-in-class account management practices while also educating the company at-large on how to best interact with your team to make the company successful. 

As the leader over all Account Management at Convoy, you’ll leverage your experience of building, training and focusing account management teams to execute on growth strategies that you will own and set for the company. 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • You will be the Head of all Account Management at the Sr. Director, or VP level
  • Drive Customer Growth Outcomes
  • Increase and maintain customer growth rates and reduce churn
  • Expand revenue in existing accounts through cross-sell and up-sell
  • Influence future lifetime value through higher product adoption, customer satisfaction and overall health scores
  • Drive new business growth through greater advocacy and reference-ability
  • Define and Optimize Customer Lifecycle
  • Conduct customer segmentation exercise; refine segmentation methodology; execute quarterly segmentation refreshes; present results to Delivery teams and Executive Teams, as needed
  • Facilitate internal Quarterly Business Reviews with Accounts to report on customer engagement and growth opportunities
  • Define Customer Success framework and governance model for entire customer base and across each Product segment
  • Define and measure effectiveness of Customer Success
  • Define and implement measurement for effective Customer Success metrics for the team; ensure there are adequate systems for tracking metrics; expose subset of metrics to executive team, company and board as needed
  • Develop tools and resources for executing on Customer Success model to be leveraged by entire Convoy community
  • Continually evaluate existing resources and technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and automation
  • Lead Customer Success 
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, learn from best practices in industry and bring them to the greater Convoy community
  • Recruit, attract and retain candidates for each functional role throughout the team
  • Foster collaboration within the team and across customer lifecycle
  • Travel frequently (50%+) to meet with customers
  • Assist in building and managing a framework for customer engagement in activities such as end user groups and leadership councils 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 15+ total years of progressive sales experience and a minimum of 7-10 years of sales leadership experience 
  • Demonstrable success managing a geographically distributed sales organization focused on enterprise sales.
  • Courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it. See something broken? Fix it
  • Must be a true self-starter, comfortable functioning without a roadmap. Must strongly want the opportunity and autonomy to decide how best to capitalize on a complex and sophisticated market that will require flexibility and the ability to deal effectively with ambiguity.
  • Ideally, the candidate will have an understanding of the freight industry or related/equivalent supply chain subject matter expertise.
  • Excellent balance of people, organizational, technical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability and experience managing and supporting closing deals in enterprise. 
  • Track record of aggressive YOY new business sales growth and accelerating team performance
  • Track record of successfully building and sustaining relationships with clients in B2B sales.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com required
