We are looking for a Sr. Sales Strategy & Operations Manager to join our Sales Strategy and Enablement organization to provide business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and drive strategic initiatives forward.

The Sr. Sales Strategy & Operations Manager is responsible for managing a team of business analytics and advertising operations personnel to drive Sales Acquisition and Account Management revenue goals and operations. This individual is responsible for aligning Avvo’s sales strategy priorities with strong day-to-day operations, and helps evolve ideas into future-growth initiatives.

This role is analytically minded and able to guide and implement sales strategy by using a data-driven approach. The Sr. Sales Strategy & Operations Manager partners with Program Managers, Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Product and Finance stakeholders to lead projects to success. They report directly into the Vice President of Sales, Strategy, and Enablement.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Directly support the Vice President of Sales, Strategy, and Enablement and Vice President of Client Services in defining and executing strategic programs.
  • Act as key liaison and representative to the broader organization.
  • Manage and develop and team of analysts and sales operations professionals.
  • Lead the development of reporting and tools to support sales productivity, improve engagement with current customers, and inform decision-making.
  • Drive the strategy of sales email marketing efforts, including partnering with B2B Marketing team to align on campaigns and cadence.
  • Enhance advertising operations process, communication, and contribution to broader Enablement organization.
  • Maintain a strong test and learn orientation to develop the appropriate solutions.
  • Partner with sales leadership at all levels to create more focused go-to-market strategies.
  • Implement changes to promote revenue growth and improve customer experience.
  • Provide weekly sales forecasting to Avvo’s Senior Leadership Team.
  • Analyze and report key performance indicators related to: sales productivity, customer segmentation, customer targeting, account management.
  • Drive the adoption of new sales tools and automated systems; maintain and utilize current automated systems.
  • Support the evolution, integration, and implementation of sales systems/processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement; work within team to execute.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years in sales, sales enablement, and sales operations roles
  • 2+ years people management experience, with demonstrable track record of hiring, retaining, and mentoring great talent
  • Analytical skills and a demonstrated affinity for data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through, with demonstrated ability to bring projects and tests to successful conclusion
  • Strong interpersonal skills in leading cross-functional resources, resolving conflicts, fostering alignment, and gaining commitment
  • Unique combination of strategic thinking and operational excellence. Be able to pivot seamlessly between strategic thinking and tactical execution, with a passion for turning strategy into action.
