Team Overview:

Our fast paced, highly collaborative IT team is seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who possesses a wide array of skills and have experience across multiple technology disciplines, including network, storage, server, disaster recovery, directory services, identity management, security, scripting for automation to deliver business value.

What You Will Do:
  • Design, implement, and maintain server, network, and storage systems ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of all IT infrastructure.
  • Lead infrastructure projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for infrastructure upgrades and enhancements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other IT team members.
  • Ensure adherence to security protocols, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, including regular testing and updates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Document systems architecture, configurations, procedures, and maintain accurate records of infrastructure inventory.
  • Continuously monitor system performance and proactively implement improvements and optimizations.
What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, IT infrastructure, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Linux servers, virtualization technologies (VMware, AHV, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with network infrastructure components (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN).
  • Strong understanding of storage solutions (SAN/NAS), backup technologies, and disaster recovery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications (MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:

The benefits listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Impinj.

The typical base pay range for this role is $115,000- $190,000. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of the role, job duties, requirements and relevant experience and skills. Impinj reviews market wage data and uses the midpoint of the pay range as the starting point for offers. Impinj makes offers within the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonuses and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. US based employees have access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match among others.
