The Role

As a Senior Engineering Manager at Amperity, you'll build a high-performing team delivering solutions to complex challenges with customer impact. You're passionate about ensuring customer success by ensuring our technology drives value where it matters most. You'll mentor engineers, encouraging an environment where individuals excel. You believe great teams are built on collaboration, psychological safety, and solving meaningful problems together.

You bring both technical depth and leadership expertise. You enjoy solving challenges in large-scale data systems, cloud-native infrastructure, and in full-stack experiences. You collaborate with other leaders to lead best practices, promote learning, and ensure we're building technology that meets customer needs and advances the future of customer data management. You show curiosity, innovation by delivering high-quality results that move the business forward.

You will report to the SVP, Engineering.

Interesting Problems
  • Ingest and process massive data volumes, blending batch and real-time events to create accurate customer profiles.
  • Turn research algorithms into reliable, high-scale production systems.
  • Empower users with real-time querying to surface insights quickly.
  • Creating full-stack, delightful experiences across the Amperity platform to help data engineers and marketers alike get value from Amperity..
  • Build teams that embody trust, innovation, curiosity, and accountability.
About You
  • 12 years of software development experience, with experience in big data systems, or large-scale distributed systems including hands-on engineering work in the past five years.
  • 2 or more years of software management experience.
  • Experience building empowered, autonomous, psychologically safe teams that improve their own working model.
  • Demonstrated experience balancing SaaS expertise with shipping value to customers.
  • Leadership experience as the primary owner of complex projects involving coordination in-team and across teams, and between customers, product management, and engineering.
Location

Seattle, WA 

Our hybrid work model includes three days in the office each week, providing a mix of in-person collaboration and remote flexibility

Compensation
Base Salary:  $190,000-$260,000. Within our pay range, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training. 

Cash Incentives: Cash incentives are also available.

Stock Options:  The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity’s total compensation package. Every employee at Amperity receives a new-hire equity grant, commensurate with the scope of their position.
