Owns the programs that enable distributed work within Atlassian, encompassing onboarding, employee engagement, and unlocking remote work locations. We are talent strategists and program managers who set a vision for success, use data to drive change and orchestrate work across a broad range of cross-functional partners.
About the Role
Our team solves a wide variety of novel and complex challenges. The scope of the role is to bring strategic thinking and program management to enterprise-wide onboarding. This is the program that every new hire goes through when they join Atlassian including pre-boarding, a welcome session, experiences throughout the first 30 days and ongoing engagement. As a distributed company, that makes industry-leading tools to help teams collaborate, onboarding into Atlassian needs to be a unique and differentiated experience. Onboarding needs to rapidly immerse new hires in our products and how we use them.
This person must be a systems-level thinker and expert program designer with experience managing complex processes and programs that touch thousands of employees per year. This role requires a self-starter who proactively identifies problems and opportunities. Excels at pulling together data and people to develop solutions. Understands how to work cross-functionally to design and drive new processes and programs across organizational boundaries through using change management and project leadership best practices. This person needs to have experience running onboarding programs and the ability to expand their scope beyond onboarding over time.
About You
The ideal candidate has experience working at the intersection of people, strategy and global program design.

  • At least 10 years of experience working in onboarding and/or talent management
  • Demonstrated track record of designing and implementing end-to-end talent solutions that align with business objectives and add measurable value.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of building relationships at every organizational level.
  • Ability to design innovative learning experiences.
  • Expert project management, with meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while understanding how they connect and lead to an outcome
  • Ability to design programs including employee experience journey maps, process maps and project plans
  • Deep experience with data analysis and leveraging metrics to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Skilled at effectively communicating and navigating change, ensuring Team Anywhere initiatives align with evolving business strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted and productive working relationships with partners and stakeholders of all levels across the business.
  • Passionate about using innovative approaches and continually experimenting.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record in translating requirements into impactful solutions.
  • Belief in the power and potential of distributed work - and a desire to make that potential real for all Atlassians!
  • Bachelor's degree


Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $164,400 - $219,200
Zone B: $148,000 - $197,300
Zone C: $136,500 - $182,000
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
