About the teamThe Strategic Finance team is at the forefront of Zillow Group’s strategy, planning, and key initiatives, providing high visibility and collaboration opportunities across the organization. As part of this dynamic group, you’ll help drive the company toward its goals and support the growth of Zillow’s New Construction business, which is building the largest and most vibrant platform for new construction builders and home shoppers.

About the role

As a Senior Strategic Finance Manager, you will lead financial planning and analysis for Zillow’s New Construction business. You’ll partner closely with business leaders to drive forecasting, annual planning, and strategic initiatives, providing actionable insights that shape the direction and success of the business. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You Will Get To

  • Collaborate with business and executive leaders to inform strategic decisions and ensure alignment across teams.

  • Design and implement scalable financial frameworks to enhance monthly business reviews, forecasting, and annual planning.

  • Drive financial efficiency across the P&L by establishing clear visibility and accountability for key processes and deliverables.

  • Translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

  • Lead the development of long-range plans, including strategic vision, resource allocation, and financial impacts.

  • Provide timely, data-driven insights through regular and ad-hoc reporting, highlighting key variances and trends.

  • Develop a deep understanding of New Construction’s go-to-market model and translate this into operational and financial insights to monitor business health.

  • Foster strong partnerships between finance and business teams to support critical processes and deliverables.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $140,900.00 - $225,100.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are
  • Seasoned strategic finance professional with over 8 years of experience in high-growth environments, specializing in financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and strategic planning for revenue-generating business units.

  • Adept leader with a proven track record of driving results and cultivating collaborative work environments.

  • Strategic thinker skilled at translating overarching business objectives into quantifiable financial goals, consistently demonstrating adaptability in complex and evolving landscapes.

  • Exceptional communicator with strong written and interpersonal skills, effectively collaborating with cross-functional leadership teams and proactively seeking solutions while constructively challenging assumptions.

  • Highly analytical and data-driven, possessing expert problem-solving abilities and extensive experience in developing sophisticated financial models to inform critical decision-making.

  • Proficient in managing and interpreting large, complex datasets, distilling key insights, and effectively communicating findings to senior leadership.

  • Public company experience is a valuable asset.
