BAE Systems is seeking a Test Engineer to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

- Supporting calibration and troubleshooting of cable test equipment
- Supporting the development of cable test database and adapters
- Tracking and resolving problems found during cable testing
- Participating in research, investigations, and special studies
- Supporting the review and develop of test requirements, test procedures, quality assurance plans, configuration management plans, and evaluation techniques for new emerging cable test programs
- Working collaboratively in a team setting with other engineering team members
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

- Experience with cable testing and automated testing
- Experience with reading cable running sheets, wiring diagrams, and wiring tables
- Experience in research, problem solving, and analysis
- Ability to work and communicate well with management, customers, and their contractors - including ability to provide clear and concise presentation/demonstration of advanced technical concepts
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with the ability to interpret and follow requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills used when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with colleagues, and customers
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment and make sound decisions while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- 6 - 8 years of relevant professional experience
- Active DoD SECRET security clearance
- Field site experience supporting the SSBN test program
- Current D-5 TRIDENT SWS Technical / Operational Knowledge
- SSBN Missile Technician or Navigation Electronics Technical with TRIDENT II SWS/SWSSS deployed experience
- Working knowledge of the Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) organization
- Experience working within the SSP Test Program
- Experience with requirements documentation and verification testing
- Experience with fiber optics testing
- Demonstrated experience in Test and Evaluation mythologies including test planning, execution, and reporting
