Position Summary:
The Workday Business Analyst at Trupanion will support Tier 2 functions for our Workday system, focusing on change management, SOX controls, documentation, project management, system audits, metrics, reporting, security, and platform innovation. Responsibilities include coordinating with team members to troubleshoot complex issues, configuring and implementing changes, validating functionality, developing training materials, and owning designated reports and integrations. This role demands extensive insight into business processes, technical considerations, and compliance standards to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement within the Workday platform.
This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.
What you will do:
Collaboration and Problem Solving:
- Work closely with a diverse team to address complex business challenges.
- Enhance customer experience through innovative solutions and improvements.
- Drive problem-solving initiatives across multi-dimensional business issues.
Requirements and Design:
- Lead the process of gathering and defining requirements for Workday configurations and implementations.
- Conceptualize and design future state business processes, ensuring they support accurate and timely processing.
- Influence and shape the design and execution of business processes in alignment with organizational goals.
Documentation and Testing:
- Develop detailed documentation for current and future state processes.
- Test and validate the effectiveness of developed solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.
- Support the adoption of new business processes by creating and delivering training materials.
Communication and Presentation:
- Communicate and present recommended process improvements and solutions clearly to stakeholders.
- Provide decision-making rationales to ensure transparency and buy-in from all parties involved.
Customer Experience and Technical Collaboration:
- Deliver solutions that meet customer needs while aligning with business goals and technical constraints.
- Collaborate effectively with other analysts and departments to ensure cohesive implementation and support of Workday features.
- Engage in continuous improvement by evaluating customer feedback and technical performance.
Business Analysis and Improvement:
- Utilize standard business analysis methodologies to identify problems, opportunities, and solutions within the organization.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Engage in ongoing process-improvement efforts, leveraging data and analytics to drive decisions.
Emerging Technologies and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Leverage the latest knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the Workday platform.
- Implement new features and enhancements to keep the system up-to-date and competitive.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain robust security protocols to protect sensitive data within the Workday system.
- Conduct regular audits and generate reports to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Experience you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- AND/OR 5+ years of Workday experience (FINs or HCM suite).
What you’ll bring:
- Strong background in change management and project management.
- Solid understanding of SOX compliance and related controls.
- Experience developing and executing test strategies and plans using widely accepted methodologies.
- Proficiency in using analytics tools for measuring product performance and supporting decision-making.
- Ability to facilitate collaboration across diverse stakeholders and drive consensus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining detailed functional documentation.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and clients.
Compensation:
- The pay range for this position is $105,000 -$115,000, on a full-time schedule.
- Along with base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.
- We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion’s success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
