We strive to be the most innovative firm in the industry today, tomorrow, and long into the future while upholding ethical excellence. We believe that CTC makes a positive impact on the markets, the lives of our employees, and all the communities to which we belong. Started in 1995 by a team of forward-thinking Traders, we are proud to call ourselves an industry leader that keeps making markets and each other better.

Join our dynamic team to help modernize our compliance technology to meet the demands of rapidly evolving markets and CTC's vision to grow. We design scalable, and cutting-edge solutions for real-time trade surveillance—ensuring market integrity and adherence to trading regulations—and manage seamless regulatory reporting across global authorities.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop high-performance solutions for real-time trade surveillance and automated regulatory reporting (SEC, FSA, FINRA, and more).
  • Modernize our technology by transforming quick-fix solutions into elegant, sustainable technology.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve our data normalization and integration with low-latency, real-time data feeds.
  • Share expertise in design and code reviews and stay ahead of industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years professional experience with Java; Python a plus.
  • Interest or experience in post-trade technology.
  • Skilled in multi-threaded programming and distributed systems.
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
  • Pragmatic approach to balancing tactical needs with long-term vision.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $145,000 - $225,000, plus a discretionary bonus.
  • The discretionary bonus will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and firm performance.

Most teams at CTC, with the exception of Trading, follow a hybrid workplace model, subject to change based on business need.

Our Benefits

We strongly believe in the well-being of our employees and their families so we offer outstanding benefits to support you both professionally and personally. These benefits include generous medical coverage, paid parental leave, free breakfast and lunch (plus healthy snacks, of course), wellness reimbursement, quarterly recharge days, and a variety of other benefits focused on providing the best employee experience.

(Disclaimer: interns and contractors are not eligible for benefits at CTC)

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
