We are seeking a visionary Senior Manager of Data Engineering to lead our dynamic team. This role is designed for a data-driven individual who is adept at modern data technologies and architectures. You will lead a talented team tasked with crafting sophisticated data frameworks that empower our decision-making and operational efficiencies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and scale the data engineering team, ensuring efficient execution of projects and adherence to best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a robust data architecture capable of supporting the needs of a rapidly growing organization.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of scalable data models and warehouses using Snowflake.
  • Leverage Airflow to streamline workflows and improve the integration of data processes.
  • Help set standards for onboarding, requirements, documentation, coding, branching, code reviews, deployments, support operations, platforms, analysis, automation, communication, maintenance, decommissioning, and other necessary processes.
  • Implement and optimize data transformation pipelines using dbt to ensure accurate and timely availability of data for analytics and business operations.
  • Collaborate with other leaders across the business to identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making and process improvements.
  • Support the business in uncovering, transforming, accessing, understanding, and exploiting data.
  • Exhibit soft social skills that are thoughtful and empathetic, necessary for managing a large team and numerous customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data engineering tools and trends, continuously improving the team's use of technology.
  • Manage project planning and resource allocation for maximum efficiency and impact.
  • Create value through the increased adoption of data; understand the data science and business intelligence landscape to guide the adoption of the right tools and processes.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10 years of experience in data engineering
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles.
  • Advanced experience with algorithms and data structures.
  • Proven experience in building and deploying enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
