As a compensation consulting partner, you will be the primary compensation partner to organizations led by executives and covering thousands of employees. You will combine in-depth knowledge of compensation principles, our Company’s talent and compensation strategies, understanding of the business and market landscape and implement compensation actions to support the attraction and retention of our employees. Reporting to the head of the compensation team, you will be a compensation consulting partner to business units, the point of contact on international compensation matters and help scale the compensation team’s frameworks and practices. The impact you will have: 

  • Consult  on compensation related activities: new hire offers, ongoing compensation for employees, transfers, promotions and retention, etc.
  • Work in a culture of continuous analytics and monitoring of current programs to find areas to improve and align with strategic priorities so that compensation is part of the proposition that can attract, engage, and retain top talent.
  • Serve as point of contact for compensation matters as we expand globally. 
  • Partner with stakeholders including HR People Partners, Talent Acquisition and business leaders to design, draft and document compensation frameworks, methodologies and protocols that help the compensation team scale in support of our growing company.
  • Review and conduct annual benchmarking of our jobs to ensure a great compensation package ranges
  • Help implement all ongoing compensation programs and tools; provide leaders with deep insights to guide sound compensation decisions.
  • Continuously review the current job architecture and systematic job leveling approach for the business that enables us to better support hiring, career growth, job evaluation ultimately leading to great compensation packages.
  • Manage and analyze complex datasets to distill data-driven compensation insights and convey findings.

What we look for:

  • Strong compensation and/or analytical background that shows proven success as a thoughtful partner with attention to detail
  • Experience managing large, cross-functional projects and proficient in project management methodologies and techniques 
  • Problem solving skills with a proficiency in data analysis tools (i.e. spreadsheets, databases) and an ability to use data to support informed decision-making
  • Ability to consult and problem-solve, partnering cross-functionally on a range of small and large projects.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others on the team
  • Tenacity to learn new things and think outside of the box. 
  • Ability to deal with quick change and to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.

 


Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. $130,000$230,000 USD

Zone 2 Pay Range

$117,000$207,000 USD

Zone 3 Pay Range

$110,500$195,500 USD

Zone 4 Pay Range

$104,000$184,000 USD
