We’re looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Strategic Finance Manager to support Reddit’s user growth efforts. This is a high-impact role that will directly influence how we understand, forecast, and invest in Reddit’s future growth.
In this position, you’ll partner closely with Product, Growth Marketing, Data Science, and Finance to build models from scratch, analyze user performance, and inform strategic conversations with data-backed insights. A core focus will be supporting and evolving our Daily Active Unique (DAUq) forecasting and the operating rhythms that drive the user growth organization.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working deeply with data, and enabling cross-functional teams with clear, actionable insights.
What You’ll DoModeling & Forecasting
- Build and maintain driver-based financial and user growth models (DAUq, net adds, conversion funnels, retention curves).
- Own portions of the weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting process, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling for product changes, new initiatives, and marketing investments.
- Maintain and enhance forecasting templates, tools, dashboards, and methodologies.
Analysis & Insights
- Analyze performance drivers across acquisition, activation, retention, and engagement.
- Perform cohort analyses and funnel optimization assessments to identify opportunities.
- Translate complex data into sharp insights and clear, actionable recommendations for Product and Growth Marketing partners.
- Support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and weekly business reviews with robust analysis, slide preparation, and key insights.
Cross-Functional Support
- Work closely with Product Managers, Data Science, Engineering, and Marketing to understand roadmap initiatives and their impact on user growth.
- Serve as a connector between Finance and operational teams to ensure consistency in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and reporting.
- Partner with teams to improve measurement, instrumentation, and data pipelines where needed.
- Help create and maintain KPI frameworks across net adds, retention, conversion, and engagement.
Strategic Finance Support
- Assist with annual budgeting, headcount planning, and long-range forecasts related to user growth.
- Support the preparation of materials for senior leadership and executive reviews.
- Ensure alignment between user growth models and the company's broader financial plans.

Minimum Qualifications- 3–5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Strategic Finance, Growth Analytics, Consulting, or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in building financial models from scratch, including forecasting, scenario modeling, and driver-based methods.
- Exceptional ability to work with complex datasets and synthesize findings into clear, compelling insights.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; working experience with SQL or BI tools is a significant plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience operating and thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with frequently shifting priorities.
- Background in consumer tech, digital platforms, or data-rich, high-volume environments.
- Familiarity with user funnels, cohort analysis, or marketing analytics.
- Experience supporting product teams or growth organizations.
- Exposure to forecasting DAU, MAU, or other key engagement metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field.

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission.
