UniVerse/Linux Pick Basic Developer


Job Description:
Work on application development, enhancement, and maintenance of existing & new applications that involve planning, designing, coding, unit testing, preparation of code deployment components, Code Reviews and assisting with deploying code to higher environments. Review existing application functionalities and suggest improvements to existing system and processes. Interact with clients on Requirement discussions, perform Requirement analysis, prepare effort estimation, Code, test, and prepare functional documentation. Migrate code to newer versions of Linux/Red Hat & UniVerse in new environments. Integrate applications with external systems. Work on major and minor enhancements to meet client requirements and support the production system involving troubleshooting production incidents, analyzing and fixing application performance issues. Conduct post deployment review to identify the root cause of defects and develop strategy to eliminate in next development cycle. Support existing and new automated processes (transaction processing, interfaces, etc.).
Required Skills:

  • Display in depth knowledge and ability within Pick Basic programming.

  • 5+ years of total work experience

  • Display in depth knowledge and ability within Rocket Universe.

  • Display in depth knowledge using Unidata or equivalent multi-value systems experience.

  • Strong research and debugging skills to resolve application issues.

  • Ability to document code and processes.

  • Analyze processes and understand how they interact with each other.

  • Nice to have, knowledge of: 

  • Updating UniVerse O/S Licenses

  • Downloading and installing Rocket UniVerse O/S on servers.

  • Creating UniVerse client accounts for multiple applications.

  • Creating UniVerse Login Scripts

  • Display in depth knowledge and ability within Rocket Universe.

    Skills
    Pick (Multivalue Database), Pick Basic (LANGUAGE USED UNDER PICK), UNIVERSE, UNIDATAPICK, Unidata or equivalent multi-value systems background.

 

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information.  For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $96,250 - $120,000
