Bungie is looking for a Copy Editor with a passion for documentation and an eye for detail. The right candidate will ensure that the writing in the Destiny universe meets our standards and aligns with deeper Destiny lore.

The Copy Editors primary responsibility will be reviewing the content that our writers create for style, grammar, spelling and consistency. In addition, this person will maintain the Destiny style guide and lore bible. Collaborating with all members of the narrative team to keep guidelines and standards up to date and partnering with the Franchise Narrative Director and Release Narrative Leads to develop creative documents. The Copy Editor is the gatekeeper to ensure that we are delivering writing content in accordance to our defined standards.

The ideal candidate should feel comfortable working with a style guide and must have outstanding skills in editing other people's work to bring it into that established style. Ability to work within tight character limits and with an understanding of the challenges of localization is a must. Comprehensive knowledge of English grammar and English language standards (and when it is stylistically prudent to side-step them!) is a must. Someone with proven chops in the science fiction and fantasy genres to help make our world feel awesome is preferred.
