About the Role:

The Learning Content Developer will support and collaborate with the PitchBook Learning team and other internal stakeholders to develop innovative high-impact learning content aligned with PitchBook's strategic goals. This role is critical to the ongoing growth of PitchBook's global learning team, having responsibility for supporting the design, development, deployment and measurement of our comprehensive learning and training solutions and programs to improve individual and team performance. The Learning Content Developer will apply their skills and expertise to ensure effective learning and training content is built so that it targets critical skills and behaviors that drive learners' success and meets business needs, while integrating the PitchBook Company culture throughout.
The PBLearning team is a global team, with teammates in Seattle, New York & London, and serves all of PitchBook's learning and development needs in a way that boosts individuals' success. Primary Job Responsibilities:
Content Development

  • Use up-to-date knowledge and skills associated with the content being developed and delivered
  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers and other expert resources at PitchBook, to design and develop training
  • Determine audience needs and flex program design to be applicable for the particular audience
  • Consistently exhibit a positive outlook and collaborate in a highly engaged fashion with other team members
  • Maintain focus to achieve results and meet deadlines
  • Assist in the development of Web-Based training (WBT) and instructor-led training (ILT) packages with guidance from more senior staff
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop performance-based courses aligned to identified objectives and target population characteristics
  • Regularly solicit feedback from peers, staff, and managers, and applies the learning to enhance their own performance and capabilities
  • Learn how to utilize metrics to manage and assess deliverables
  • Utilizes internal processes, tools, and systems for on-time delivery
  • Seeks guidance for prioritization and review of deliverables


Project and Program Management

  • Partner and collaborate with Instructional Design team to produce learning content using industry tools (Articulate Storyline, etc.)
  • Work with PitchBook Learning teammates and other internal stakeholders, to ensure learning programs stay relevant and up to date
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, LMS development team and other stakeholders and follow our service-oriented framework to allow dynamic content creation and curation
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various special projects and company initiatives as requested


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. (Bachelor's degree preferably in instructional design technology, education, communication, English, technical writing, and/or any discipline requiring mastery of written communication skills or equivalent experience preferred.)
  • 1-4 years of professional work related experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the visual and/or graphic design and learning and development field or other relevant experience
  • Proficient in developing both Instructor-led and Web-based training using a variety of software tools
  • Knowledgeable about instructional design methodology (ADDIE, CRI, Kirkpatrick, etc)
  • Demonstrated experience using Storyline and Rise 360 and 
  • Brings a customer service mentality to the work
  • Successfully manages existing projects & program reviews
  • Creates innovative and effective learning content for eLearning, in-person and in live virtual training environments
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Ability to tell stories using written or verbal narration
  • Possesses a general understanding of adult learning theory
  • Creative thinker, self-starter with a proactive approach to resolving problems and issues
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and complete work with a high level of quality and attention to detail
  • Works well independently and as part of teams
  • Eager to learn, grow, and build skills, while working in a fast-paced environment
