In the Apptio User Experience (UX) group, we strive every day to help our customers understand and use our products. We’re looking for someone to help shape the Apptio customer experience. In the UX Content team, you'll work with outstanding writers and interaction designers to help delight Apptio customers through clear and concise interface text and product help.
What you'll do
- Work with product managers, interaction designers, developers, and others to create a highly useable product interface. Then iterate at greater depth and breadth.
- Write timely, discoverable, and accurate copy to support customers' task completion. This includes interface text, and procedural, conceptual, and reference help content.
- Contribute to storyboards, wireframes, and in-product interactions.
- Do all of the above within our global English and translation-friendly tone and style guides and authoring tools.
Who you are
Basic Qualifications
- Outstanding English composition skills.
- An aptitude for data analysis and IT financial management.
- A drive to contribute to how technology is understood and used most effectively.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in technical communication (TC), human/computer interaction (HCI), journalism, education, or another relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional highly valued experiences and aptitudes include:
- Proficiency with HTML and familiarity with XML structured authoring in tools such as Madcap Flare.
- Hands-on skills with Apptio TBM Studio or Apptio Cost Transparency and related applications a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced written Japanese language skills a plus.
