Job Description

The Role:

If you are motivated by turning large quantities of data into value for customers. If you want to drive decision making at all levels of the company with data insights and visualizations. We are looking for a self-motivated Business Intelligence Analyst who will work with cross function teams across all parts of our organization to determine business requirements, establish priorities, define key performance indicators (KPI), uncover business rules, deliver insights, and create visual dashboards for the company. You will be part of the team rolling out Tableau, including supporting users in how to use Tableau as well as defining standards and best practices. As a data driven company, our data is our lifeblood, and we want someone to join us who shares this passion.

What you'll do:

A successful candidate has outstanding business insight, a restlessness to answer "why?" questions, and are passionate about using data to drive decision making. We want someone focused on the science of decision making. You have a passion for data visualization, and are a champion for standard methodologies among the company. You have a curiosity around data, and are not afraid to dive in and find the answers. You are comfortable working with small and large data sets, and working with a data warehouse.

This role will also include some administration and support for Tableau.

Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree with significant course work in a quantitative field, such as economics, statistics econometrics, physical sciences, or applied mathematics.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong BI tools (Tableau) & data manipulation skills.
  • Solid experience with SQL, especially with a data warehouse.
  • An obsession with cleaning, structuring and analyzing data.
  • Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, while automating or simplifying self-service support and access to authoritative data sets.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with a good sense of organization and time management.
  • Experience answering complex questions quantitatively.
  • Able to work independently in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
