An exciting opportunity to join a growing company to build the next generation commodity trading and finance platform.  Our business approaches commodity trading differently:  enabling producers and consumers with better data, insights, and tools; all through a unique platform and value proposition.  We are a physical commodities trader operating across the globe and across a wide range of commodities – from Crude Oil to Coffee to Corn to Cocoa – but are approaching the industry in a different way:  Focused on delivering value for client’s through a best in class platform (People, Processes and Technology).

With over $1B in revenue but under 60 employees, this presents a unique opportunity for the candidate to join on the ground floor of a new, growing, and profitable commodity trader.

This position will be one of two key engineering positions within the firm, partnering with traders, logistics operators, data scientists and analytics teams to design, develop and implement the data infrastructure and architecture to support the firm’s product offering, analytics and reporting.

Data forms the key to our business – whether its understanding it internally, reporting it to clients, or using it to design better products.  This position will take the data we store today and help us to organize it, link it, work with our principal engineer to think of better ways to input it and work with our analytics team to create better reports and insights from it.  The candidate will also be responsible for designing and incorporating additional data as we bring on new businesses, develop new requests for reports and insights, and continue to grow and evolve in the industry.

    • Working with management team and front office users to review existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete existing workload
