About The Role: 
A data operations associate on the Greater China data operations team is responsible for researching and building out our Greater China venture capital and private equity (VCPE) dataset. This person will also be responsible for refining our methodologies, research process and sourcing operations.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize Mandarin language expertise to audit and build VCPE company/GP/LP/fund profiles in the PitchBook platform
• Monitor, study and fully understand the VCPE landscapes in Greater China to better refine our research methodologies and processes
• Collaborate with other researchers on data hygiene projects, research efficiency projects and competitive benchmark processes
• Train new hires in our research process and methodologies

Skills and Qualifications:

• High attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain processes in detail
• Self-motivated and able to focus
• Mental stamina: the ability to research for periods of time
• Problem-solving within ambiguous research situations
• Interest in the private equity, venture capital and M&A markets
• Experience with SQL and Python preferred
