The Reach app and service elevates user’s holistic wellbeing by harnessing the power of healthy habits to deliver positive and lasting behavior change. Reach provides personalized programs, relevant engaging content, and expert coaching across food and nutrition, activity and fitness, mindfulness, and more.
We're looking for a Data Scientist to develop insights and recommendation engines for the Reach product. This role will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to identify which technique to leverage to deliver the desired outcome and execute on building, training and refining algorithms. Strong data science, visual presentation and communication skills are a must.
What you'll do:
- Build, train, test and refine machine learning and neural net algorithms
- Work with backend engineering teams to ensure needed data is captured and accessible
- Partner with Product Management to deliver the right product or product improvements
- Present results, trends, and concepts using visual data presentation techniques
- Recommend new technologies to increase the appeal and usability of our products
What we're looking for:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or similar field
- Experience building production ML systems and deep knowledge of recent ML algorithms
- 7+ years of experience in software development
- 3+ years experience as a Data Scientist
- Experience with ML frameworks such as Weka, Deeplearning4j, Mahout, Java-ML
- Experience with Python or Java programming languages
- Familiar with Hadoop, Apache Spark framework, SQL/NoSQL
- Curious problem solving mindset
- Healthcare or wellness product space experience a plus
