Success: 

  • VP of Data will define, build and grow a data strategy and team to deliver best-in-class capabilities that will support Blink Health’s ambitious growth goals.
  • Hire and build a world class team of data engineers and data scientists. 
  • Responsible for data from ingestion, to warehouse, to delivering value from the data through analytics and data science methods. 
  • Creating scalable engineering and data science management processes. 
  • Persuading, negotiating and leading efforts towards shared goals, roadmaps and dependencies with internal and external stakeholders: finance, product, marketing, legal, business leaders and partners.
  • Setting a high bar and continually raising it for data culture at Blink by evangelizing, managing, coaching and developing data fluency throughout the organization.

  • Work cross-functionally to understand how teams can better utilize data insights through your staff or become self-sufficient and data-capable. 

Good Feedback - Consider the perspective of others 

  • Listen actively and respond effectively through a variety of channels
  • Give and receive candid and constructive feedback
  • Promote trust and encourage teamwork to allow the data science team to do their best work

Desired experience:

  • 15+ years’ experience in algorithmic engineering, data science, machine learning
  • 7+ years of experience in managing, and mentoring data science, data engineering, and analytics teams in a global technology company
  • Deep technical background with a MS or PhD in mathematics, statistics, computer science or a related field
  • Deep technical, engineering and quantitative skills. Experience with all aspects of data streaming, storage, processing, optimization and applying data to drive business results from operational analysis to advanced modeling and prediction. 
  • Ability to translate business needs to analytic requirements and take the results of complex analyses and communicate them to a broad audience.
  • Experience in either the consumer internet space or healthcare industry.
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or related quantitative field. MBA or equivalent business experience.
