About the Role: 

RealSelf is looking for a strategic Creative Director to play a pivotal role in creating a world-class, cross-platform consumer experience, pushing the brand into new creative territory and guiding it to its next stage of success. The Creative Director must be passionate about modern beauty and aesthetics to help RealSelf on its mission to help millions of people make smart, confident decisions about cosmetic treatments and procedures.

The Creative Director will oversee the design, art and copywriting team and collaborate closely with marketing, editorial, product and experiential teams focused on creating high-performance content and campaigns to drive brand awareness, consumer engagement and conversion. The ideal candidate has an established record of cross-platform digital, advertising and brand design experience and knows how to build and scale a forward-thinking consumer brand in a complex and evolving environment.

In this role, you will:

• Provide holistic creative oversight. Drive, articulate and generate buy-in on creative vision across products and experiences (content, marketing, brand, social, video, experiential, UX/UI) and ensure consistency and cohesiveness across collateral and channels. 
• Bring Innovation. Develop and execute strategies that will bring the organization and the causes it champions to the forefront of industry leadership. Have a strong vision and create new campaign ideas and programs across all channels that advance the brand, marketing and content strategies. 
• Translate key business objectives into clear and motivating directives for creative development and delivery. 
• Collaborate with leadership in developing content and marketing plans and budgets, analyzing results and identifying opportunities. 
• Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer needs and the competitive landscape and translate into actionable creative objectives. 
• Provide Team and Cross-Functional Leadership. Lead the day to day management and execution of cross-channel marketing campaigns that improve the consumer branded experience across every touchpoint. 

About You:

This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can see the big picture and align creative objectives to company values and performance goals. 

You may be the right fit if you have:

• 5+ years of experience as an art director or above 
• 3 years of leading creatives and developing processes and teams for a consumer product, tech, or media brand
• Strong, self-motivated and independent thinking with a track record of delivering transformative creative solutions and visual design across channels 
• Equally strong sense of business acumen and creative vision
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and consistently hit deadlines
• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach

• Knows the ins and outs of all parts of the creative process with experience leading projects and designers from ideation to execution and beyond.
• Preferred: experience in both marketing advertising and editorial content creative roles

Travel:

Some travel will be anticipated for this role.

Work Environment:

The RealSelf office sits in a historic Pioneer Square building. Employees also have the option to bring their dogs to work!
