Blink is a UX research and design firm that works with great companies to create meaningful digital products, brands, and experiences. Blink is searching for a talented Lead UX Researcher for one of our Embedded clients.


Remote 3 month contract to hire opportunity.

Preferred remote locations: WA, CO

What you’ll do

  • Lead design and execution of usability lab studies of products and services with representative end users
  • Lead analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and presentation of findings in a meaningful and easy to understand manner
  • Lead collaboration with designers, developers and device manufacturers for optimal and timely resolution of usability findings and recommendations
  • Lead heuristic expert evaluations and cognitive walkthroughs of new products and services at all stages from concept to prototype to product
  • Lead planning and execution of focus groups and field trials
  • Manage research vendors on externally assisted projects
  • Maintain status of peer recognized contributor to user experience industry through papers, lectures, book chapters and regular participation in SIGs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years’ primary research experience
  • Understanding of theories and principles of user-centered design, with an emphasis on mobile/native app design and connected experiences
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Experience building and running research practice supporting a diverse portfolio of products and services
  • Background with IoT/connected products; specific experience in hardware design, multi-screen experiences, wearables, connected car
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills

  • BA in Research, Psychology or related field
