Smartsheet is looking for a seasoned and inspiring Principal Visual Experience Designer to help evolve our brand expression strategy to visually articulate how Smartsheet empowers people to improve how they work. You’ll lead a team of designers to expand and execute on the brand strategy for all key marketing touchpoints and brand moments as well as roll up your sleeves to imagine and produce engaging, on-brand solutions yourself.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and engage users with visually compelling communications for web, online campaigns, print collateral, presentations, events, social, and other marketing content from initial concept through final implementation that are on brand, on strategy and on time
• Lead team of visual designers in a motivating, supportive manner and keep the team on top of emerging design trends, techniques and tools
• Generate and deliver visual assets, iconography, typography, illustrations, animation, infographics as well as specifications and guidance for implementation of web designs
• Lead execution of brand expression strategy towards a unified design language and partner with Director of Design
• Strategy to build out the visual identity system
• Partner with external agency resources to ensure all creative is aligned to brand framework for visual design
• Follow human-centered design process and champion design thinking across the organization, educating while collaborating
  

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least 8 to 10 years of related work experience in leading role and motivating a team of creative professionals and coordinating multiple project timelines in a fast-paced environment acting as advocate for the user
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Proven success working cross functionally to drive brand alignment
• Excellent visual design skills and sensibilities
• Experience designing for a variety of form factors including: web, iOS, Android, tablet and desktop applications
• Expert knowledge of industry standard tools such as Sketch, Axure, InVision, Principle, and/or other visual design, wireframing, and prototyping tools
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
