Who We’re Looking For:
You enjoy teasing out user needs and crafting solutions to those problems with product managers and developers. You enjoy seriously collaborative teams, pairing with team members and bringing internal stakeholders and customers into the design process. You are a creative problem solver who is comfortable with uncertainty and willing to jump in wherever is needed to support the team.
You are a self-starter who is excited to learn best practices in UX and software development. You are comfortable wearing many hats, but you are self-aware enough to know where your strengths lie and where you need support.
What You’ll Do With Us:
- Solving the right problems and understanding the users’ needs to deliver new or improved products that provide customer value.
- Talking with customers.
- Working closely with a product manager to ensure the design requirements meet the needs for user stories.
- Collaborating with another product designer to create end to end workflows and experiences that are simple, elegant, and deliver customer value.
- Responding to developer questions about designs and receiving their input on what’s technically possible.
- Presenting your designs and collecting feedback in front of customers, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders.
- Your work will oversee experiences for the entire product and see your ideas go from paper sketches to live code in a matter of weeks, ultimately changing the way people approach research.
What You’ve Done Before:
- 3-5 years experience in all phases of the design process including user research, copywriting, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing
- Interaction Designs skills defining how an experience should behave based on understanding user and business needs, plus consideration of how this innovation will scale.
- Visual Design skills with proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography and aesthetic sense and how these elements impact product function
- Experience in communicating and persuading work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts
- Ability to collect and interpret both qualitative and quantitative customer feedback
- Familiarity with / willingness to become familiar with Figma
- Familiarity with Agile development practices
- Experienced in UX research methodologies
