About us:

Project Archer is an Augmented Reality studio based in the Seattle area. We are a team of engineers, designers, innovators and creators dedicated to paving the way for augmented reality applications in the retail space. Our focus is on functional use cases that merge diverse data streams and personalized information with specific physical locations to create productive and entertaining immersive real-world shopping experiences.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with the UX Design Lead, Creative Director, Designers, and Engineers to concept and implement great UI/UX from wireframe to final art assets.
  • Work with the UX Design Lead, Creative Director and other UI/UX Artists to establish a strong graphic design language for a project's user experience, with an eye for both static and motion design.
  • Create shipping-quality UI art assets, and manage additional work (icons, etc.) from external UI Artists when required.
  • Implement UI/UX flows and menus directly in Unity, in collaboration with Engineers.
  • Iterate on UI visuals based on feedback, consumer testing, and UX considerations when needed.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Design to iterate and improve the overall user experience based on feedback and testing - throughout the product's development and continuing into post-launch.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • 3+ years experience designing user interfaces for interactive applications (games etc).
  • Advanced software skills (Photoshop or Illustrator, etc) to create quick, communicative mockups and wireframes, as well as polished, final, shipping UI assets.
  • A strong eye for graphic design (color, shape, typography, iconography, etc.)
  • Extreme attention to detail - a passion for all the polish and special-case details that can take a user experience from acceptable to great.
  • An iterative mindset. Prototype early, iterate often, finalize and polish later.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Adept at both giving and receiving constructive feedback in a very collaborative and iterative environment.
  • Experience using technical game development tools (such as source control and Unity.)

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in designing UX for VR and AR applications.
  • Experience with in-engine (Unity or similar) UI implementation.
  • A deep understanding of UX design concepts as applied to games.
  • Experience using DoTween or equivalent for animation and transitions.
  • Experience with scripting in Unity.

As a Project Archer team member you’ll:

Continue to foster our environment built on our three pillars of success; contribution, collaboration and self-motivation. As a self-directed member of our growing team, you will get the chance to help shape the future with passionate like-minded engineers.
