We are looking for a lead software engineer to build and lead a team dedicated to test automation and DevOps infrastructure for our SaaS platform. You will work with the VP of Engineering and other software engineering leads to help improve developer productivity, product quality, reliability and release cadence across our suite of products.

The Knock engineering team is comprised of a number of small autonomous teams that create exceptional value for our customers. These teams include CRM, marketing, data services, insights, partner integrations, consumer applications, mobile, and dev ops. Our product space is very stimulating - we are at the intersection of advertising, communications, consumer services, enterprise workflow, and data analytics. Our tools and applications touch every part of the consumer apartment-hunting experience, as well as every part of the back-end leasing and renewal workflows. Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of 3-5 engineers
• Drive strategy for DevOps and Test Automation across the engineering team
• Evangelize best practices around deployment, quality and automation across the organization
• Mentor and lead other team members
• Build and take part in Scrum processes 
• Work with the other engineering leads to plan work and deployments
• Work with other engineering leads to plan, monitor, deploy, and scale database and storage infrastructure
• Help to increase and maintain quality, reliability and security across the product surface
• Help to increase developer productivity and velocity
• Actively contribute to day-to-day technical work

Required Background, Experience and Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience required
• Deep experience with test automation tools and processes
• 2+ years experience in a lead role
• 2+ years experience with Python and JavaScript
• Experience in an Agile environment
• Experience in a startup and/or SaaS environment preferred
• Experience with AWS, ECS, Jenkins, Docker or Terraform a plus
• Experience with PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB a plus
