About the Position

As a member of Qumulo Engineering leadership, you will be responsible for leading the team that designs, builds, and operates Qumulo’s engineering infrastructure. These systems span our developer and production build systems, our continuous automated testing pipelines, and our continuous delivery pipelines for internal and customer-facing services. We look for a leader that achieves results through influence, clear direction, and supporting team members to take on appropriate challenges.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will set strategic vision for ensuring operational excellence for our developer workflow and our managed services. You will also be responsible for the ongoing operational excellence of our internal development, build, test, and release processes and tools. This work will all be in service of increasing the rate at which we can deliver value to our customers. You will work to foster collaboration across site reliability engineers, software engineers, customer success, and other teams. Additionally, you will engage in capacity planning for our internal labs, manage our cloud footprints, and ensure our site reliability engineering teams are properly staffed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability managing a team.
• Track record for successfully driving systematic change within an organization to produce improved organization and/or business results.
• Confirmed experience supporting and scaling infrastructure to support internal and customer-facing services in order to achieve high availability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Experience in developing continuous delivery pipelines for a diverse set of projects using tools such as Jenkins, Apache AirFlow, Python, Bash.
• Experience in building internal developer tools.
• Experience building and maintaining internal and cloud-based tools and pipelines to enable efficient development and test environments.
• Understanding of how to implement modern software development practices using continuous integrated testing and continuous deployment systems, modern devops practices, and systems automation.
• Strong people skills leading and track record of growing a hardworking team to deliver outstanding results in a collaborative manner.
• Strong communication skills. Confirmed ability to effectively coordinate with product management, customers and other business partners.
