Director of Technology

We are looking for a Director of Technology to lead our product and technology practice.

Job Summary
Our product design and prototyping work is growing in complexity and potential for positive impact. At the same time, we’re investing in developing our own tools for problem identification and exploration. We’re looking for an experienced technical leader who will work closely with a team to increase iF’s capabilities, refine our approaches, and improve our process.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Define and plan for iF’s tech and product vision and strategy
- Build and manage the TPM team and capabilities
- Improve the product management skills and approach for others at iF beyond the TPM team
- Help land new projects where technological capability is a deciding factor
- Provide solutions architecture for proposals and projects
- Ensure high-quality delivery for engineering across all projects, with a client-facing role and individual contributions where appropriate
- Refine and implement iF’s career development process for technical roles
- Own developer partner strategy and ongoing relationships
- Establish shared infrastructure across technical projects
- Research emerging technologies to advise clients on possible applications
- Lead internal product incubation projects
- Participate in leadership meetings to drive the direction of the company
Qualifications and Skills
- 3-4 years leading product or technical management organizations
- Working knowledge of current web and service technologies (AWS, GCP, Reactjs preferred)
- Ability to work collaboratively and assertively across teams
- Great verbal and written presentation abilities
- Empathy for designers, developers & end-users
Salary and Benefits
