The Carrier Experience team helps ensure a high quality, robust, and industry-leading experience for carriers driven through empathy and data while also taking into account Convoy’s supply side economics. Carrier Experience innovates on behalf of the carrier, and reduces waste for them by solving problems such as minimizing the carrier costs of finding work. The team works across many products including our mobile and web apps while also using technologies like machine learning to improve personalization and relevance for individual carriers. Who you are:
Ideal candidates will have experience building and managing world class engineering product teams. They will have a passion for delivering new features and experiences across our full-stack of technologies and platforms including mobile, web, backend systems, and machine learning. They will know how to run user experiments, ship products with high velocity on multiple platforms, and understand complex business domains. They will enjoy leading the careers of extraordinary software developers, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and bringing a growth mindset and strong learning orientation.
What you will own:
- Managing the Carrier Experience team within Convoy’s Carrier organization
- Developing and delivering customer focused, high impact roadmaps for your team that will delight internal and external customers
- Helping your team build and manage foundational features, frameworks, and technologies that help our company create the best app experiences at scale
- Contributing to a culture of technical excellence at Convoy
- Building trust with various stakeholders and tackle cross-org problems
You have the following experience:
- 4+ years managing software engineering teams that operate at scale
- Excellent project management skills to help teams deliver on time
- Strong people management skills to recruit, manage and develop talent
- Able to work closely with product, data, and design partners
- Strong communication skills to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders
