DomainTools is looking for a motivated and experienced Enterprise Applications System Engineer to join our Technical Operations team. This role will focus on building and maintaining environments in our partner integration lab, similar production environments, as well as managing our many SaaS applications which we rely on to run our business. The integration work currently focuses around Splunk and QRadar but will continue to evolve as we enhance our integration offerings. For our business tools (G Suite, Atlassian products, Slack, etc), you will serve as the point person to keep up to date on features and functionality and ensure we’re taking advantage of these systems and are running them in a secure and optimal way.

You will own the buildup, maintenance, and backups of these environments to support both internal developers as well as customer demo environments. These applications tend to be complex and present a lot of different options, so it’ll be critical for you to be comfortable experimenting and iterating on configurations in a controlled manner and providing the means to try out a lot of different configurations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and evolve existing integration lab environments using AWS, Splunk, and QRadar among other tools.
  • Building out separate infrastructure for Development, Test, and Demo labs.
  • Automate builds and provisioning of these environments in public clouds (currently AWS)
  • Tackle building out necessary infrastructure for new partner integrations as we evolve our offerings
  • Ensure adequate monitoring, backups and test restoration of services to ensure smooth operations of integration environments
  • Heavy involvement in rolling out new security tools for our company
  • Primary ownership of Saas based business tools (Slack, Atlassian products, Gsuite, etc)
  • Review product features and functionality and ensure we’re taking advantage of what these tools have to offer

Essential Experience/Skills:

  • Willingness to dive into problems whether familiar or not
  • Commitment to continuous improvement for the team
  • Experience with complex Enterprise software installation and configuration
  • Experience in managing a SIEM (Splunk preferred) and similar security applications
  • Experience with using configuration management tools (Ansible preferred)
  • Passion for automating away problems
  • Windows and Linux proficiency
  • Experience with on-premise virtualization platforms using vendor provided “Virtual Appliances”
  • Experience building infrastructure in public cloud environments
  • Self starting work ethic
  • Ability to juggle many projects and prioritize your time
