Role Summary

As a QA Engineer (QA) at Xealth, you will work to provide Test/ QA coverage for web and mobile applications, APIs, data pipelines and security. You will be responsible for writing manual test cases to execute tests, and report bugs during development, as well as during routine testing. In this role, you will work closely with developers to find bugs early in the development cycle, and will regularly participate in the maintenance and improvement of Xealth’s test automation platform you will work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to define and document acceptance criteria, and will provide general support, including an on-call rotation, to address or escalate reported platform and/or system issues.
Specific responsibilities include duties in Use Case Identification and Implementation, Post Implementation support, and may include other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Use case identification and Implementation:
The QA will:

  • Troubleshoot potential Xealth configuration use case deployment issues
  • Manage use case testing and user acceptance testing, Review and finalize test plan with health system
  • Develop integrated testing scripts
  • Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with customer for use case signoff
  • Review logs to ensure there are no errors on Xealth side leading up to go live, including Portal metrics (UAT + Internal testing cycles)
  • Create and manage bug tracking
  • Work with Support to document KB articles

Post Implementation Support
The QA will:

  • Validate Xealth Portal metrics
  • Confirm billing events in production
  • Communicate test environment downtimes to customer as needed
  • Communicate Production environment downtimes to customer
  • Lead resolution of any production issues
  • Conduct a daily review of logs post go live to ensure stability (1-2 weeks)
  • Communicate with customers regarding any Production issues based on established SLAs and internal procedures
  • Own support for JITBIT


Requirements for the QA role:

  • A passion for improving healthcare through technology
  • Strong ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Thorough understanding of quality and testing principles, techniques, and protocols
  • 3+ years of quality, testing, or related experience
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Demonstrated success working hands on with customers
  • Hands-on experience with testing browser-based web applications and RESTful APIs
  • Relevant experience successfully working with test tools: JIRA, Confluence, Test Rail and Browserstack or similar solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to execute on goals
  • Experience in agile, including participation in scrum and sprint planning meetings for scope and estimation purposes
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
