Pivotal is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer – System Verification and Test to be responsible for helping set up test for manufacturing enabling the Contract Manufacturer to take holographic beamforming antenna system prototypes into full scale production. This position is responsible for developing master test plans and KPIs for Manufacturing as well as participating in Engineering design for manufacturability. This position reports to the Manufacturing Operations Manager but works closely with Product Development and other business and engineering personnel. 

Responsibilities:

•Develop specifications for the collection of information to be used throughout different components of the manufacturing test process to ensure manufactured components and assembled products meet company standards and objectives

•Develop functional and operational test and evaluation methods in conjunction with engineering discipline leads for each system requirement and determine necessary for manufacturing tests

•Develop and enable master test plans for manufacturing

•Enable the implementation with the Contract Manufacturer (CM) by developing appropriate training and methods needed to accurately measure success

•Perform testing; compile and analyze data for review and identification of manufacturing and production issues

•Support the CM and manage rigorous KPI’s and standards for which they need to adhere

•Help scale the deployment of associated initiatives by identifying and isolating manufacturing defects in our critical infrastructure prior to deployment

•Develop bare board test, assembled test criteria, sub assembly test criteria, full unit test criteria and refresh criteria 

•Participate in post prototype design review to effect change for manufacturability as needed

Qualifications:

•BS Degree in Electrical Engineering and industry experience within Manufacturing Test Engineering or Manufacturing degree and experience manufacturing PCB based electronics products

•5 plus years of experience in manufacturing or product validation test development.

•Multiple years working with contract manufacturers

•experience working in manufacturing environments

•Experience testing to ship products

Desirable Expertise:

•Experience with exotic materials

•Wireless telecommunications experience (antennas, rf products)

•Experience scaling up contract manufacturer from scratch in a startup environment

•Thermal testing and mechanical aptitude

•Lean manufacturing experience
