About the Team:

We’re a technical group of people working in a supportive environment with various demanding infrastructure needs for ML, NLP and text analytics based services.

We manage a hybrid infrastructure that supports state-of-the art infrastructure for machine learning, text analytics, large scale data processing, model deployments and highly available data intensive services.

About the Role:

This is a great opportunity to manage serious infrastructure that is servicing large volumes of data, work with an outstanding engineering and data science team, and employ state-of-the-art tools and techniques.

In this role you will:

• Build tools using clean & re-usable code for managing production infrastructure efficiently.
• Manage on-prem, cloud (AWS or GCP) and hybrid services in production.
• Build reliable systems at scale.
• Support and enable engineering and data science teams at LivePerson.
• Drive improvements in capacity, reliability, availability and performance of core systems.
• Develop automation for ML model training, deployment and CICD pipeline for services.
• Evaluate and implement technologies that improve efficiency, performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues and build solutions to prevent them from reoccurring.
• Manage, tune and troubleshoot issues with large scale data storage infrastructure like Elastic, MongoDB, Postgres etc.

Your qualifications are:

• Extensive production *NIX experience and shell scripting
• Ability to write code in Python/Go/Perl or similar to solve automation problems
• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes or Docker 
• Experience with modern observability/monitoring systems.
• Experience with at least one configuration management/automation system (ansible/salt/puppet/chef/airflow)
• Experience using and managing source control and CI/CD tools like git, maven/gradle,Jenkins
• Automation of applications deployment to On premise/Cloud Environment
• Experience with database deployment/management (Elasticsearch, Postgres, Mongodb, Cassandra)
• Experience with Hadoop, Impala, Hive or other big data storage and query systems is a plus.
• Experience with Google KubeFlow and JupyterHub a plus.
