Pivotal Commware develops 5G communications platforms, systems and applications based on Holographic Beam Forming® , a patented breakthrough in electromagnetic physics. We are seeking a Millimeter Wave RF Engineer to support and lead RF design efforts for Pivotal’s next-generation products. You will work with systems engineers, electrical engineers, test engineers, and other RF engineers to analyze and drive requirements for RF components and subsystems; design and simulate RF blocks; and specify test plans and work with test engineers to characterize components and PCBs. You will work on designs from sub-6 GHz through millimeter wave for Pivotal’s products, from RFIC verification through detailed filter design.
•Evaluate and qualify active and passive microwave and millimeter wave components for use in Pivotal’s 5G products
•Model and simulate RF components, subsystems, and systems to predict performance
•Conduct and review designs for subsystems including quantifying RF impacts
•Write and evaluate test plans for microwave and millimeter wave designs
•Analyze data alongside test engineers and present critical performance metrics
•Design RF components from matching networks to filters to amplifiers, from simulation to verification
•BS in Electrical Engineering or RF Engineering
•5+ years of industry experience as an RF Engineer, Microwave Engineer, or similar
•RF PCB design experience including microstrip, stripline, coplanar waveguide, etc
•Strong experience with impedance matching, use of the Smith chart, transmission line theory
•Hands-on experience with measurement techniques and use of equipment including vector network analyzers; spectrum analyzers; signal generators; power meters; and other standard RF measurement equipment
•Working experience with power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, mixers, VCOs and PLLs, VVAs, and interfacing with ADCs and DACs
•Knowledge of cascade analysis of both receiver and transmitter chains
•Experience using ADS and/or Microwave Office
•This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
•MS in Electrical Engineering or RF Engineering
•10+ years of industry experience
•Antenna design experience
