We currently hold hundreds of licenses for franchises ranging from Marvel to Harry Potter, giving us the rights to create tens of thousands of characters—one of the largest portfolios in the pop culture and collectibles industry. We take your favorite characters and turn them into adorable, or sometimes scary, collectible figures. Our most famous line, Pop! Vinyl, has millions of fans around the world. 

Located in downtown Everett, WA, we are looking for a Mobile App Developer responsible for the implementation and support of the Funko App on both iOS and Android platforms. You will be an expert on building exceptional mobile user experiences using mobile frameworks enabling customers to enjoy Funko and Funko products in their digital life.

Ideal candidate will have published one or more Android and iOS app in the app store utilizing React Native. Please outline these apps in your cover letter.

Your Superpowers in Action

  • Create captivating and interactive mobile experience for iOS and Android devices
  • Implement designs that are asynchronous, responsive and provide a rich user experience across the mobile platforms
  • Implement new frameworks and software that meets Funko’s standards in performance,reliability and maintainability
  • Create rapid prototypes to vet new design, interaction and integration concepts
  • Recommend new technologies, technical design and user interactions that will help differentiation the Funko digital experience
  • Work with vendor and employee resources to deliver projects on time and with a high level of quality as measured by performance, up-time and maintainability
  • Troubleshoot and solve production issues related to performance and reliability throughout the software stack
  • Productively contribute to development projects in an agile software development environment, participate in sprint planning, task breakdown and daily stand ups
  • Stay current with new web and app technologies and integrate applicable technologies to our development process

Must Have Superhero Gadgetry

  • 4+ years of experience developing and building successful interactive mobile apps and/or mobile web sites
  • 1+ years with React Native and coding cross platform mobile applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Working experience in Android and iOS development
  • Experience with in app analytics, messaging systems and other Native OS code libraries.
  • Ability to drive ambiguous problems into well-defined solutions
  • Strong object-oriented design skills
  • Have a proven track record of projects completed on time – and can balance day to day tactical items with longer-term technical strategy
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to pivot when requirements change or hot fixes are needed
  • Familiarity with code review processes, source control management, build processes and testing processes
  • Familiarity with consuming Web API's and services
  • Excellent written and verbal communicate skills. Strong collaborator that can communicate fluently and effectively with customers and co-workers
